Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our Global Asset Management Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting with financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for our Institutional, Investment Management, and Operations business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial data is reflected in our systems.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules as required.
  • Contribute to the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of financial results, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and completeness in PeopleSoft and EPM.
  • Support external and internal audit requirements by providing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly head office schedules, including PEGA G/L attestations, AUM, net sales, and other key metrics.
  • Calculate RSP compensation program and provide quarterly financial summaries for the Canadian Institutional business.
  • Play an active role in the RBC GAM annual plan, 5-year outlook, and financial forecasts, preparing supporting schedules as required.
  • Prepare NIE variance analysis, FTE analysis, vendor analysis, and other schedules as needed.
Requirements
  • Accounting designation with progressive accounting experience.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Effective organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interpret and make recommendations.
