About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker - Building and Grounds to join our team at Beedie Investments Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and drywall repair to ensure the overall appearance and functionality of our buildings.
  • Conduct safety and security checks to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as industrial vacuum cleaners, power tools, and snowblowers.
  • Supervise and assist other workers as needed to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform heavy lifting and moving of furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to maintain a clean and attractive appearance.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks and make decisions.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and initiative to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and lifting.
