About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Roofing Supervisor to join our team at Laing Roofing Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of roofing systems on various commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule roofing projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train a team of roofers, cladders, and apprentices to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that roofing work is being carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Management: Estimate costs and materials required for roofing projects and ensure that they are within budget.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all roofing work is carried out in a safe and healthy environment, and that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions, as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in roofing, with a strong background in project management and team supervision.
  • Certifications: Roofer Red Seal Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights.
  • Work Setting: Construction, commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
