Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Electrician to join our team at the Prince George Sawmill. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, sensors, transmitters, and other equipment.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems.
  • Identify and address electrical safety hazards within the mill environment.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
  • Prioritize and address critical electrical issues to ensure continuous operation of sawmill equipment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate electrical repairs and maintenance activities.

Requirements:
  • Red seal or Interprovincial TQ
  • Strong background in PLCs setup and troubleshooting
  • Solid background in heavy industry and construction
