We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join our team and lead our efforts in safeguarding critical control system networks. This role will require you to shape the strategic direction of our cybersecurity initiatives, ensure robust security measures are in place, and maintain compliance with Alberta Reliability Standards.

About the Role:

  • Plan, design, and maintain control systems security infrastructure to protect against cyber threats
  • Lead risk and vulnerability management program for OT environment, including implementation of control frameworks for supply chain and cyber security protections
  • Lead cyber incident investigation and response processes to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement change management programs and ensure security best practices are followed
  • Liaise with security specialists to develop and enhance OT security systems in accordance with industry requirements
  • Support ENMAX's ability to meet its ARS obligations with respect to Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards
  • Create and maintain technical processes and procedures to ensure compliance and reduce risk
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cyber threats and advise on implications to the organization
  • Provide operational security insights and direction to other groups and business units to ensure activities and changes do not compromise Control System security

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • P.Eng status with The Association of Professionals in Engineering and Geoscientists in Alberta (APEGA)
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in securing and operating OT infrastructure, preferably in electrical utility or power engineering consulting
  • Knowledge and understanding of Control System protocols (DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cyber security standards and frameworks, including ARS CIP, NIST CSF, and Mitre ATT&CK
  • Strong TCP/IP networking skills and experience with network automation technologies
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure and administering Microsoft Active Directory
  • Comprehensive understanding of OT security concepts, such as network monitoring, patching, vulnerability assessments, event management, and penetration testing
