We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Daycare Worker to join our team at Mossy Branches Inc. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities- Child Development and Education
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Encourage children to express creativity through various forms of art, music, and physical activity.
- Child Care and Supervision
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Support for Diverse Groups
- Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, and Indigenous people.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for these groups.
- Education
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
