About the Role:

The Senior Pega Developer will play a key role in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team at 08763 Citi Canada Technology Services ULC. This intermediate-level position requires strong technical skills and experience with Pega Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications on Pega Platform following coding standards.
  • Understand application requirements and design.
  • Test and debug applications, fixing any issues or defects.
  • Deploy applications using CICD to higher environments.
  • Troubleshoot application problems, error codes, and bottlenecks.
  • Participate in Agile rituals, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective, and peer reviews.
  • Collaborate with squads to understand services end-to-end.
  • Monitor and control development processes, providing user and operational support to business users.
  • Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems, provide business process evaluation, and make evaluative judgments.
  • Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis.
  • Consult with users, clients, and technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install customer exposure systems.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
  • Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Assess risk when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.

Requirements:

  • Pega Lead Dev (CSSA) certification is preferred, but not required.
  • 5-8 years of relevant Pega experience.
  • Strong technical background in Pega, preferably with multiple global Pega implementations in the financial domain.
  • Hands-on experience with Pega Platform version 8 (Pega Infinity) or higher.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills.
  • Effective oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and influencers without direct authority.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques, including user stories, TDD, continuous integration, and continuous testing.
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
