About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Automation Developer to join our team at Syntronic Canada. As a key member of our engineering design house, you will be responsible for designing and developing embedded software/hardware, electronics, and electro-mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out end-to-end testing, functional testing, interface testing, and integration testing.
  • Develop automation tests in Python using a Slash framework.
  • Configure automation test suites and runs.
  • Perform automation triage and debugging.
  • Write bugs and defects.
  • Analyze product requirements and evaluate potential technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with design/developers to identify and resolve errors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of software development experience in Python.
  • 3 years of software testing/QA experience.
  • Scripting experience in Bash, BAT, and PowerShell.
  • Experience testing IP protocols (Diagnostics UDS, DoIP).
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with a tester's mindset.
  • Methodical, with the ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software development experience in Python.
  • Experience with Linux, ONX, and Android.
  • Experience with VMs, simulated environments, QEMU, etc.
  • Experience with source code control systems such as Git.
  • Embedded test & automation experience (Linux OS, flashing devices, file transfers, logging, capturing telemetry, automation triage, etc.).
  • Automotive test experience, with CAN/LIN.
  • Experience with Pycharm, Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.
  • Experience setting up Jenkins test automation pipelines.
