FSQA Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled FSQA Technician to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our Quality Assurance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular plant inspections to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective HACCP and Pre-requisite programs to prevent contamination and ensure product safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address non-conformances and improve processes.
- Generate accurate and detailed monitoring records and reports to support quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide training and support to hourly and salaried employees on FSQA practices and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of changes that advance and improve FSQA programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Microbiology, or equivalent experience in the food industry.
- Modernized Poultry Inspection Program certification is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to trouble shoot and problem-solve with sound judgment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient MS Office computer skills.
