Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team at Birsay Kitchen. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that all dishes and equipment are sanitized and stored properly, and assisting with food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors
- Assist with food preparation, including cooking, plating, and serving
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Will train on the job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work 40 hours per week
