Job Title: Vegetable Farm Worker

Bo Greenhouse is seeking a reliable and hardworking Vegetable Farm Worker to join our team. As a key member of our farm crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and productivity of our crops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Clean and maintain our greenhouses to prevent the spread of disease
  • Harvest vegetables by hand to ensure quality and freshness
  • Mix and apply fertilizers to crops as needed
  • Tie and secure plants to prevent damage and promote growth
  • Fertilize and spray crops to control pests and diseases
  • Examine produce for quality and readiness for market
Work Environment:

As a Vegetable Farm Worker, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and productivity. You will be exposed to wet/damp conditions, odours, heat, and dirt. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a non-smoking environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, kneeling
Working Conditions:

You will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs). You will be working in a non-smoking environment with a focus on quality and productivity.
