Railcar Helper/Valveman Job Description

Procor Limited is seeking a skilled Railcar Helper/Valveman to join our team. As a key member of our railcar repair team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to railcar maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of railcars for repair, adhering to health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Read, comprehend, and follow repair orders and procedures.
  • Perform tasks such as valve rebuilding, NDT testing, and welding, as required.
  • Use shop tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve repair goals.
Requirements:
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Previous railcar repair experience and knowledge of AAR standards an asset.
  • Ability to perform all necessary repairs of railcars and their components.
  • Depending on site: Experience with torch cutting and stick welding, including comprehension of welding and cutting equipment.
  • Depending on site: Ability to pass an in-house weld test.
