**Job Summary**
This position is a full-time opportunity to work in our Stouffville design studio, collaborating with a talented team of interior designers. As a commercial interior designer, you will be responsible for various tasks related to feasibility and space planning options in AutoCAD, producing tender and permit construction design drawings under the guidance of principal project designers.
You will also be involved in developing project concept and finishes packages, researching and sourcing furniture, fixtures, and equipment, and communicating and coordinating with the project team. Additionally, you will attend project sites and client locations for meetings, site audits, installations, and site progress reviews during construction.
The ideal candidate will possess a professional degree in interior design or architecture from a Canadian accredited institution, minimum 3 years of industry experience in commercial and workplace areas, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office platforms, and strong 3D rendering skills in Revit, SketchUp, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and/or other modeling software programs.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who can maintain organized and up-to-date project files, samples, and drawings, and assist in continually developing in-house CAD standards, project administrative standards, materials library, and social media content.
