We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in a part-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services to clients in a long-term care and seniors independent/assisted living setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Initiate and manage assessments and treatments for restoring movement and function, orthopaedic conditions, and pain management.
- Provide physiotherapy services to outpatient residents in long-term care and independent/assisted living settings.
- Develop personalized treatment programs that include exercise, manual therapy, and home exercise programs.
- Prescribe and educate clients on the utilization of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment.
- Oversee Physiotherapy Support Personnel (PTA).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario.
- Experience with supervision of support staff.
- Experience in working with the geriatric population and chronic diseases.
- CPR certification.
- ADP certified, or willingness to become certified.
- Strong physical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care.
- 2-3 years clinical practice experience preferred.
- Bilingual (French and English).
- A dynamic work environment for those who thrive in a fast-paced setting.
