At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Insulator Journeyperson to join our team for various project sites in the Province of Alberta.

This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Maintenance and Turnaround group.

As an Insulator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, fitting, and attaching insulation, finishing, and weatherproofing materials to a high standard of workmanship.
  • Measuring and cutting insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • Installing soundproofing systems.
  • Recognizing insulation and air barrier systems, materials, and their application.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Journeyperson Insulator certification or proof of Journeyperson level hours.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Insulator, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used as a scaffolder.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Additionally, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
