Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor to join our team at Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing supervision and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Assess and assign referrals in accordance with the needs of children, youth, and families, and provide guidance to staff on casework planning, support, and resource allocation.
  • Staff Supervision: Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of services provided, identify gaps in service, and participate in the development of service plans, budgets, and policies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure accurate and complete case plans, recordings, and documentation, and review and approve financial expenditures within established agency limits.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Social Work from a recognized university, combined with a minimum of three years' experience in social work within the field of child welfare, or equivalent combination of formal education, experience, and training.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and have a valid Ontario driver's license and personal liability insurance.
  • Mandatory Requirements: Provide an acceptable Canadian Police Information Centre Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS), and have a safe vehicle for use on the job.
