We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join our team at SynergyAspen Environmental. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing environmental site assessment and remediation projects across British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities- Client Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Project Planning: Prepare work plans and cost estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Project Management: Manage remediation and reclamation environmental field work programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation and execution of proposals to secure new business opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and train staff to ensure work is done safely and correctly, and provide guidance on technical reports.
- Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with regulators, contractors, and other third parties to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Management: Prepare and issue invoices to clients, and maintain billable targets as set by the CEO/COO.
- Travel: Undertake occasional travel to various locations as needed.
- Service Delivery: Provide excellent levels of service to internal and external clients.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 5+ years of project management experience.
- Education: Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline.
- Designation: Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one.
- Skills: Experience in contaminated sites, with extensive knowledge of BCER Regulations, and experience in managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls.
- Personal Qualities: Energy, intelligence, and integrity, with a relentless drive for exceptional client experience.
