At Designed Roofing Inc., we are seeking an experienced Asphalt Roofer to join our team. As an Asphalt Roofer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Repair roofing systems
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
  • Install sheet metal flashings
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Requirements
  • Degree of education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in the field
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Working at heights training
  • Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract), Criminal record check
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation, Willing to travel, Valid driver's licence
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Handling heavy loads, Large workload, Repetitive tasks
  • Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
  • Personal suitability: Dependability, Excellent oral communication, Reliability, Team player

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and market conditions in the location where the job will be performed.

The estimated salary includes all forms of compensation and benefits mentioned above, and is intended to provide a comprehensive picture of the total rewards package offered to successful candidates.
