About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Master Civil Engineer to join our team as an Infrastructure Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Operations, this leadership role will oversee the review and approval of development servicing submissions, develop and execute policies, studies, and master plans related to infrastructure, and manage capital infrastructure projects in accordance with District standards, legislation, and engineering practices.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of British Columbia or eligibility for registration as a P.Eng. in BC;
  • A minimum of five years' experience in municipal engineering, with progressively increasing responsibilities, and a valid class five driver's license;
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills to dialogue with staff, Council, taxpayers, developers, and other stakeholders;
  • Motivated self-starter with effective organizational and time management skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and attention to detail;
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and specific engineering modelling and drafting applications considered an asset;
Compensation and Benefits

This is a regular, full-time position exempt from the bargaining unit, with hours of work at 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. A flexible work schedule is required to accommodate evening meetings. The salary range for this position is $111,558 – $124,581 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits and pension package. Relocation assistance is available.
