About the Role

Foilcon is seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer to join our team. As an Automation Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify Opportunities for Automation: Analyze software processes to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Design and Execute QA Tests: Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality, ensuring that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Develop Test Automation Scripts: Develop test automation scripts to automate testing processes, reducing the time and effort required to test our software applications.
  • Utilize Test Automation Frameworks: Utilize test automation frameworks to design and implement automated testing solutions, ensuring that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Investigate Software Issues: Investigate software issues and provide recommendations for resolution, ensuring that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers: Collaborate with QA analysts and software developers to identify and resolve software issues, ensuring that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience with Automated Test Tools: Experience with automated test tools such as Katalon, Selenium, Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Microfocus Load Runner 12.5, and ReadyAPI.
  • Experience with Cloud Technology: Experience with cloud technology, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps Methodologies: Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and DEVOPS.
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex software issues.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with QA analysts and software developers to identify and resolve software issues.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Information Retrieval Packages: Experience with information retrieval packages, including knowledge of one or more programming languages.
  • Experience with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) Compliance: Experience with AODA compliance, including knowledge of AODA regulations and standards.
  • Experience with Legacy Mainframe Systems: Experience with legacy mainframe systems, including knowledge of Licensing and Control System (LCS) and Legacy Mainframe Systems.
  • Experience with Payment Gateway MPG/EPS Services: Experience with payment gateway MPG/EPS services, including knowledge of mainframe tools such as TSO/SPF.
