  • Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in health, assistance, and nursing from a recognized school.

  • Two years' experience as an LPN, with experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics being an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dynamic personality and self-confidence.
  • Autonomy, sense of initiative, flexibility, discretion, and empathy.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good observation skills and self-control.
  • Excellent critical-thinking, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Language:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency in Cree and French is an asset.

Work Environment:

  • On-call periods (rotation).
