We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Montrose Environmental Group in Calgary, Alberta. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing environmental projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage environmental projects, including ARRM projects, from initiation to completion
- Develop and implement project plans, including project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate with internal project teams, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, and ecologists
- Communicate with clients and project stakeholders, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met
- Manage client communications and expectations, including preparing technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
- Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative team
- Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and career growth
- Mentor and develop junior staff members
- Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management, or a related field
- A minimum of three (3) years' previous project management experience
- Project management experience in ARRM projects in Western Canada or familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry would be considered an asset
- Experience with Workday software would be an asset
- Experience managing client relationships
- Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization would be considered an asset
- Familiarity with preparing work plans, cost estimates, and scopes of work
- Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Detail orientated, possess good organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize
- Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
- A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
