Film Review - Writer Job Description

At Peliplat, we are expanding our global presence and seeking a talented Film Review - Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for passionate film enthusiasts with a strong background in creative writing and film criticism.

We are looking for a skilled writer who can produce high-quality, branded content that represents our platform, guiding users and contributing to the direction of content creation. Responsibilities include writing film reviews, industry analyses, and other film-related content, as well as closely engaging with the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation & Criticism: Produce high-quality content, including film reviews, industry analyses, and lists that align with our content strategy and branding.
  • Develop a distinctive writing style that resonates with the platform's audience while adhering to our quality standards.
  • Pitch topics and themes for weekly content on the website/app, aligning with the content team's strategy.
  • Community Engagement: Be a content creator representing Peliplat within the community, fully experiencing the platform's features and user feedback and providing detailed reports for product improvement.
  • Engage with users to foster a sense of community and encourage content creation that aligns with our needs.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the product and operations teams, providing support and insights to enhance platform functionality and content quality.
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure that content is aligned with strategic goals and user engagement objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or above majoring in Film Study, Creative Writing, Mass Media, Journalism, or related fields, or equivalent working experience in such areas. They should also have demonstrated experience in non-academic writing, with a strong portfolio showcasing film/media content.
