About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Pine Villa Retirement Home. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, as well as dusting and vacuuming surfaces.
  • Restock linen closets and ensure that all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, as well as clean and disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
  • Handle and report lost and found items, and attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Provide basic information on facilities and amenities to residents and guests.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and provide support with daily living activities.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
