Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at Enbridge. As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with safe work practices, including electrical safety, at heights, control of hazardous energy, confined space, and cargo management.
  • Support the completion of scheduled / standard work such as regular maintenance.
  • Support troubleshooting of turbines (basic) and support completion of asset integrity inspections and unscheduled (minor and major) work.
  • Support the electrical switching of turbines and assist with High Voltage electrical switching.
  • Assist with substation inspections and maintenance activities (annual maintenance, outages, etc.).
  • Perform data entry in the Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
Requirements
  • You possess a High School Diploma and minimal to 1 year of relevant work experience related to wind turbines.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic industrial safety practices / protocols including LOTO.
  • Ability to effectively participate in all training courses, such as first aid, CPR and AED, climb and rescue training, and confined space training.
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, proven problem solving and time management skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport.
Physical and Mental Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 45 pounds. They will also be required to work at heights of up to 300 feet and be comfortable with confined spaces. The candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including grasping, kneeling, and repetitive motion.

The successful candidate will also be required to have good mental health and be able to work in a team environment. They will be required to understand and follow instructions, make decisions, and prioritize work.
