About the JobKey Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fabricate and install drywall sheets, measuring and cutting them to fit around beams and studs
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a tight seal
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, applying multiple layers as needed
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, creating a seamless bond
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied, protecting against damage
Work Environment

This role involves working in a dusty environment, with regular exposure to drywall dust and other airborne particles.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a dusty environment
