About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Team Lead to join our team at Victrex Manufacturing Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all new and current products and processes meet the highest quality standards.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop inspection plans, acquire fixtures, and implement best practices. You will also be responsible for performing first article inspections, capability studies, and calibrating quality control measuring equipment.

As a Quality Team Lead, you will provide guidance and support to less experienced team members, driving their personal and professional growth. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team to achieve excellence in quality control.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience programming and operating various inspection equipment, including vision systems and CMMs. You will also need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of GD&T Principles and gage design and function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a quality control team member on cross-functional new product development teams.
  • Develop inspection plans, acquire fixtures, and methods to achieve quality requirements and standards.
  • Perform first article inspections, capability studies, and calibrate quality control measuring equipment.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  • Mentor and develop your team to achieve excellence in quality control.
Requirements
  • Experience programming and operating various inspection equipment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of GD&T Principles and gage design and function.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communications skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Background in injection molding quality.
  • Demonstrated capability with quality tools such as PPAP, Control Plan, GR&R, PFMEA, SPC, etc.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and quality tools such as Six Sigma Continuous Improvement methods.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
