Maintenance Worker Supervisor Job Description

Avon Building Maintenance Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including the maintenance of gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas.
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials required for maintenance tasks, ensuring that all necessary resources are available.
  • Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs, including records of maintenance tasks, equipment usage, and staff performance.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including tools, machinery, and vehicles.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Certifications and Qualifications:
  • Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 32 hours per week.
