Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable methodologies, tools, and techniques accompanied by excellent technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with our UI/UX designers and Product owners to translate product ideas, specifications, and mocks into fully functional and accessible user experiences.
  • Mentor and empower your team members.
  • Drive our crew's technical vision and implementation strategy.
  • Collaborate with the broader Engineering team on overall technical strategy, processes, and frontend infrastructure.

About You

  • You have 6+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience with a focus in backend development, excluding internships/co-ops.
  • You are proficient in building cross-browser, highly interactive web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • You are comfortable with modern open-source technologies and tools such as React.
  • You have familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs.
  • You have commercial software development experience using React for at least 3 years.
  • You have extensive experience architecting SaaS software platforms at scale.
  • You are proficient in multiple backend technologies and familiar with industry trends.
  • You are proficient in cloud computing, containerization, and high-scale distributed systems.
  • Docker/CI/K8s experience is not required but relevant to this role.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit: agile, creative, resourceful, and tenacious as you solve problems and achieve team and company goals.
  • You hold a B.S./M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
