Highway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

Are you passionate about maintaining and repairing infrastructure assets? Do you have a strong background in road maintenance and a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a skilled Highway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Webber.

As a Highway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of roads and other infrastructure assets. This includes maintaining contracted assets such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, and more. You will be required to follow standards in the contract and as directed by your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe traffic control by setting up and removing traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on bridge structures and facilities, including railings, expansion joints, doors, and painting.
  • Repair and maintain functionality of roadway catch basins, sumps, and pumps, fire hydrants, and other mechanical assets using shovels and hand or power tools.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites using large trucks and specialized vehicles.
  • Perform all duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces, including potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, working with concrete and asphalt.
  • Control vegetation appearance and growth using lawn mowing equipment, hand or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers.
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of signs, guardrails, fencing, and lighting through repair and/or replacement.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites using pickup trucks and specialized vehicles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record required to drive a company vehicle.
  • Class DZ/AZ driver's license and OTM Book 7 highly desirable.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.

Work Environment:

The Highway Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The position requires frequent exposure to traffic, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
