Carpenter Job Description

At Paradise Construction, we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial construction sites. The work environment will be physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule will be 35 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
