CFO Advisory Senior Associate: Financial Excellence Expert

RSM's Management Consulting CFO Advisory practice offers strategic advisory services to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Finance functions. As a Management Consulting Senior Associate, you will collaborate with businesses across various industries, working with a team to deliver engagements timely, budget-compliant, and client-focused.

Key responsibilities include project execution, finance function expertise, quality delivery, digital delivery, project monitoring, business development, cross-selling, industry research, and mentorship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, technology, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a large organization, professional services firm, or CPA firm
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in advising Finance organizations on business processes
  • Experience in at least one of the following focus areas: Finance Transformation, Business Process Improvement, Shared Services, Technology Enablement
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping, and data analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal effectively with ambiguity
  • Must be a team player; demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills; able to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel > 50% domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, LucidCharts, Smartsheet

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Functional understanding of financial systems, business processes, and concepts in process redesign
  • Digital experience and skillsets with enabling tools such as PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL Server, VBA, Python
  • Experience developing and delivering proposals to include scope, approach, timeline, team structure, and fees
  • Experience serving clients across multiple industries
  • Depth of experience in specific industries and sectors, specifically TMT (Technology, SaaS, Media), Real Estate and Construction, Manufacturing, Insurance and Banking
  • Industry or professional focused certification (Six Sigma / PMP / CPA a plus)
  • MBA or other equivalent or relevant graduate degree
