Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to join our private household team. This role involves providing personalized care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an individual who values discretion, patience, and empathy. As a Companion Caregiver, you will work closely with our clients to understand their needs, preferences, and goals. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as preparing nutritious meals and providing companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks
  • Engage in activities that promote mental and physical stimulation, such as reading, walking, or hobbies
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., gerontology, social work) an asset
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a private household setting
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Discreet and non-judgmental approach to working with clients

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
