About the Role

This Senior Financial Strategist will serve as the senior finance lead for multiple business units within our organization. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is integral to both the Business Units and Finance team.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted financial partner, providing strategic guidance and analysis to drive effective decision-making;
  • Support sales and operational leaders with real-time financial insights and recommendations;
  • Interface between finance and operational functions to ensure seamless collaboration;
  • Analyze data to identify trends and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner;
  • Oversee accounting and financial reporting for each business unit, including year-end requirements;
  • Manage all financial aspects of new and ongoing projects, including project-based accounting;
  • Develop annual budgets for each business unit and coordinate short-term forecasts;
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency;
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures across all business units;
  • Collaborate with the Group finance manager on activities such as information systems, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, cash management, and analysis;
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects, investment analysis, and decision-making initiatives;
  • Prepare financial reports and updates for the Board meeting and AGM agenda;
  • Assist with the year-end audit process and provide required documentation;
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • A professional certification (e.g., CPA) and relevant industry experience – preferably in agriculture/manufacturing/distribution/project-related industries;
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in a financial business partner role overseeing a division;
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to manage a team, and excellent communication skills;
  • Experience with operating systems (SAP or similar) and advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Creative problem-solving ability and attention to detail;
Estimated Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 per annum
