About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at UMI Toronto Premium Inc. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless service delivery and minimizing downtime.

Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff

Oversee and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.

Train and Develop Staff

Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent service.

Inventory Management and Control

Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that food and service meet our high quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.

Customer Service and Relations

Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Administrative and Reporting Tasks

Prepare and submit accurate reports, maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Work Schedule Management

Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing overtime.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
