Senior Project Manager (Bridges)

At COWI, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager (Bridges) to lead our team of experts in delivering high-quality bridge design projects. As a key member of our Edmonton team, you'll be responsible for managing bridge design projects, collaborating with clients, and driving business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage bridge design projects with design partners and clients
  • Participate in business development opportunities, including proposal writing
  • Lead and mentor teams of engineers and technicians in producing drawings and calculations
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and other professionals as needed
  • Perform forecasting, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting for assigned projects
  • Prepare construction drawings, engineering reports, and other technical documents
  • Oversee construction administration activities and perform site inspections
  • Mentor team members in project settings, identifying development opportunities and providing pathways for career growth
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (P.Eng.) in Alberta, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience leading bridge projects with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, the City of Edmonton, and the City of Calgary
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management and technical leadership, with a proven ability to prepare proposals and review agreement terms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
