Job Title: Big Data Lake Hadoop Cloudera Expert

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Big Data Lake Hadoop Cloudera Expert to join our team.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the development of complex digital media artifacts to exchange information, elicit emotion, and facilitate interaction.
  • Lead the implementation of Big Data Lake solutions using Hadoop and Cloudera.
  • Review existing reference data CDP cluster architecture setup and fine-grain technical implementation details.
  • Identify and prioritize findings for the most positive impact and value for money, working with application architects and management.
  • Set up CDP DR for reference data applications, working with the enterprise DNA team.
  • Coordinate multiple artifacts for varying disciplines in complex situations.
  • Create highly complex low-fidelity sketches, hi-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate intent or delivery specifications for development.
  • Develop highly complex user flows and experiences for inter-related complex flows.
  • Manage design tasks and delivery, ensuring visual displays, components, color, and type meet specified accessibility requirements.

Requirements:

  • Computer science or similar education background.
  • 7+ years of total work experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in big data Hadoop Cloudera.
  • 5+ years' experience in SDLC models (waterfall and agile).
  • Must have 2+ years of local North American work experience.
  • 2+ years of Java coding experience.
  • 2+ years of DevOps experience (Git, Jenkins, Maven).

Preferred Skills:

  • Capital markets work experience.
  • Reference data (securities, trading books, client data, etc.) experience.
  • Additional desired Big Data skills: Spark, Hive, PySpark, Scala, YARN.

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid work arrangement in Toronto, ON.
