Job Title: Psychologist, Eating Disorder

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a Psychologist, Eating Disorder, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and youth with Eating Disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct multi-modal assessments and provide outpatient therapy in individual and group settings using evidence-based treatments such as Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), and CBT for ARFID.
  • Provide consultation to medical and mental health staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures relevant to the Eating Disorders Program.
  • Develop and implement new therapeutic programs based on clinical needs.
  • Participate in research, program evaluation, and quality assurance activities to improve patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field and provide education to hospital staff.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Registered member in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Experience in various modes of individual and family therapy for children, youth, and families experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural problems.
  • Experience with Eating Disorder treatment modalities.
  • Related clinical experience in children's mental health agency or hospital setting.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
