About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Stucco Plasterer to join our team at SDH Stucco. As a Stucco Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and durable finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply and Finish Plaster Coats: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Clean and Prepare Surfaces: Clean and prepare surfaces before applying plaster, ensuring a strong bond between the plaster and the surface.
  • Cure Plastered Surfaces: Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure they are dry and ready for finishing.
  • Finish Corners and Angles: Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Mix Plaster Ingredients: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency, ensuring a strong and durable finish.
  • Install Ornamental Plaster Panels: Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim, adding a decorative touch to our projects.
  • Spray Acoustic or Texture Materials: Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings, creating a unique and functional finish.
  • Trowel or Spray Stucco Coats: Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including construction sites and our workshop.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical demands, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Hours: Work 32 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
