We are seeking a Part-Time Security Guard to join our team at one of our Commercial sites in Winnipeg, MB. As a security guard for Commercial Buildings, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of workers and assets.

As a Security Guard, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal
  • Conduct scheduled patrols using G-track device
  • Perform external patrols to maintain order and establish presence
  • Perform environmental checks, including water leaks, excessive air flow, and unusual noises
  • Contact maintenance for any lighting, heating, or other problems
  • Conduct interior patrols according to schedule
  • Deter criminal activity and respond to emergencies
  • Enforce property regulations and city by-laws
  • Protect client assets from theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
  • Complete daily reports and incident reports
  • Provide excellent customer service

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Requirements:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with technology
  • Previous experience in the security industry (an asset)
  • Ability to work night shifts
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
