Senior Optician

Job Summary

Luxottica is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at our Edmonton, AB store. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing expert optical knowledge, and ensuring that every customer leaves the store satisfied with their eyewear.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Act as a leader in optical acumen and provide expert advice to customers
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
• Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded
• Multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively with competing priorities
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
• Take pride in store appearance, help to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
• Resourceful, self-motivated, and willing to continually learn, improve, and achieve results
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
• Knowledge of current store merchandise
• Strong basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Selling skills - ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
• Embrace new technology and change

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience
