First Student is the leading school transportation solutions provider in North America. Our team of highly trained drivers and industry-leading safety record deliver reliable and quality services to 1,100 school districts. We are now hiring part-time school bus drivers in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
As a school bus driver, you will play a vital role in getting students to and from school safely. You will enjoy the support of our industry-leading technology to guide you through your daily routes and prioritize vehicle maintenance by conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Drivers also provide support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus.
To be successful in this role, you will need good verbal communication skills, be at least 21 years old, and have a valid driver's license for at least one year. You will also undergo a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks. We offer a "$1000 Sign-on Bonus for B Licensed Drivers* and "$500 Sign-on Bonus for New Drivers*. Benefits include additional hours available - charter route opportunities, child ride-along program, and no nights or weekends unless you choose.
