Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in their tasks.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to ensure efficient production.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles to facilitate the movement of materials and products.
  • Read and interpret work orders to understand production requirements and tasks.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons in their duties, providing support and assistance as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy and quality in production.
  • Stand for extended periods, moving around the plant as needed.
