Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Fromagerie la Chaudière is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from our warehouse to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine method of shipment: Research and select the most cost-effective and efficient shipping method for our products.
  • Assemble containers and crates: Carefully pack and prepare shipments for delivery, ensuring that all items are properly secured and protected.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming shipments to ensure that all items are in good condition and match our orders.
  • Maintain internal record-keeping system: Accurately record and track all shipments, including delivery dates, times, and any issues that may arise.
  • Pack goods to be shipped: Safely and efficiently pack goods for shipment, using the appropriate materials and techniques to prevent damage.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work setting: Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Tasks: Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Equipment and machinery experience: Familiarity with pallet lifters and other warehouse equipment.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
