Position Overview

The General Duty MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with procedures established within the MRI Department, under the general supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate.

Maintaining a safe environment is crucial, adhering to professional and provincial guidelines, ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs, and maintaining standards put forth by Accreditation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A graduate of an approved MRI training program with successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology registration examinations (CAMRT).
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CANDT).
  • Excellent dexterity in operating all diagnostic instrumentation according to approved scopes of practice.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills in English, and fluency in French may be required.

  • This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
