Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at AppleOne. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Key Responsibilities:


You will be working in a fast-paced sheet metal environment where you will be required to read and interpret work instructions, engineering criteria and/or prints of assemblies. You will set up and operate powered and manual equipment to OSHA/Company safety standards, complete work orders filling in the time spent and the quantity of parts completed, and fill out daily reporting sheets.


You will also be responsible for painting a wide variety of products while maintaining compliance with quality standards. This includes preparing and cleaning surfaces prior to painting, checking paint viscosity and film thickness, filling paint pressure pots, dispensing paint and paint thinner as required.


In addition, you will be responsible for metal finishing, including grinding, sanding and polishing product made of metal using hand tools and power tools to ensure a smooth finish. You will deburr, buff or polish materials to QA approved specifications.


You will also be involved in silk screening, matching raw material to work order, peeling protective coating from parts, while checking for scratches, dents or malformations, in accordance to Company quality standards. You will mix ink products for dispensing, set up silk screen table with correct template and screen, run oven at correct temperatures for screening parts, complete first offs, and check quality in accordance to Company quality standards.


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will require a high school diploma or GED, and 2-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience. A minimum of 1 year previous spray paint, silk screening experience is required, or 1 year metal finishing experience. Basic computer skills are an asset, and you must be able to work from verbal and/or written instructions with minimal supervision.


You will need good hand-eye coordination, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. An eye for detail, high level of concentration and focus are required. You must also be able to lift up to 40 pounds, and be clean shaven every day to wear a respirator.


Salary Information:


The estimated salary for this position is $44,000 to $45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
