Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Engineer to join our team at our Seabee Gold Operation in northern Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal engineering projects, capital processes, and execution/construction for multi-disciplinary projects at our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute projects at SSR Mining Seabee Gold Operation
  • Provide leadership for effective project management control in a manner that will safely deliver capital projects within budget, schedule, and quality
  • Establish project charters, cost estimates, and business cases with input from stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain overall execution plan, schedules, and cost management systems, contracts, and manage QA/QC programs
  • Coordinate activities between Seabee Gold Operations resources, stakeholders, and contractors
  • Identify critical issues within the project (i.e., project risks and opportunities) that could impact outcomes (i.e., schedule or budget) and develop action plans to address negative variances and reporting areas of non-compliance to the project stakeholders
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical, electrical, mining, geological, chemical, or civil engineering or a related subject
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in project or construction engineering preferably in a mining or other industrial environment
  • Project management Professional certification will be considered an asset
  • Experience working in an industrial facility, remote operations, shift work, and seasonal access restrictions is preferred
