Senior Electrical Engineer Job Description

Egis Canada is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in North America. As a key member of our Electrical Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading electrical design projects for highway and road infrastructure, including roadway lighting and traffic signals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design projects for MTO and municipal clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions for highway and road projects, including high mast lighting and traffic signal design.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technical staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with clients, approval agencies, and utility companies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals, consultants, and other business leaders to drive business growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on roadway lighting and traffic signals. A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for highway and road projects, including high mast lighting design, conventional lighting design, and traffic signal design projects, is required. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in the province of Ontario is also necessary. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
