Job Title: Eating Disorder Clinician

The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Eating Disorder Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop and implement intervention plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies to children, adolescents, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments to identify child, adolescent, and family strengths and challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans incorporating education, coping strategies, and compliance
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as Family-Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care and service navigation
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Masters of Social Work or Clinical Counselling degree from an accredited institution
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or equivalent governing body
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive clinical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, eating disorders, and evidence-based therapies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Competencies:
  • Sound knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act III, Mental Health Act, and Consent to Treat Act
  • Understanding of the DSM IV and ability to apply diagnostic criteria
  • Excellent knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family-Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills
