The Role

We're seeking multiple Engineering Managers to lead and recruit high-performing teams of skilled engineers. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in agile environments, thriving when challenged with complex problems, and focused on creating exceptional software solutions for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, challenge, and reward high-achieving individuals who deliver significantly above average results.
  • Lead the development of key product features and own them with our team in Toronto.
  • Provide leadership in defining and refining development processes as the team grows.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile, small team environment within a rapidly growing cloud company.
  • Closely collaborate with all product stakeholders to drive multiple features to successful delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted partner for senior management, advising on best solutions, driving alignment, and implementing decisions across your team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Tenacity, technical expertise, and the ability to contribute quickly.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work through attention to detail.
  • The drive and flexibility to adapt to dynamic environments and roll up your sleeves when needed.
  • A quick learner with proactive tendencies, comfortable working with unknowns and evolving requirements.
  • No less than 2 years of experience in software engineering management using agile methodologies.
  • At least 5 years of commercial software development experience in Java.
  • Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, coaching, and leading teams to success.
  • The ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.
  • Expertise in object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Experience building application development tools, APIs, and/or enterprise application platform software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
Compensation Package

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $300,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
